Abstract artist, Adam Cohen’s acrylic paintings are so rich in texture and colour that they possess a palpable energy. Cohen’s style is very physical as he uses grand gestural movements with his paint brush. A pallet knife cuts through the layers of paint to create lines and structure.

Adam Cohen, born in New Jersey, studied with artist Lilian Marzell, a friend of Willem de Kooning. Cohen earned his BFA at Philadelphia's Tyler School of Art at Temple University which included a year of painting in Rome. Returning to New York he studied at the School of Visual Arts, the Arts Students League and Parsons School of Design. Cohen has exhibited in Italy, Holland, New Jersey, New York and Ontario. His work is in numerous private collections. In 2015, he was awarded the International Art Prize Giuseppe Gambino in Venice, Italy.
