American artist Adam Cohen’s lush abstract work is characterized by his masterful use of colour and his grand gestural style. With Strike, he has applied thick short brush strokes of purple, lime green, burgundy, orange, and sky blue that pop against a white background and are punctuated by black markings. Cohen’s acrylic paintings are so rich in texture and colour that they possess a palpable energy.

He acquired a BFA at Philadelphia’s Tyler School of Art and lived and painted in Rome for a year. After many successful years as an illustrator, he returned to his first love--painting. Adam Cohen lives and paints in the Catskills, NY. He has exhibited extensively in the US, Europe, Asia and most recently in Amsterdam and Venice.
