Created in the traditional style of a Victorian mourning silhouette image and taking its inspiration from commemorative images of Grand State funerals throughout history such as those of  Emperor Maximillian, Lord Nelson and the first Queen Elizabeth, this linear image captures in solemn style the pomp and ceremony of Queen Elizabeth ll's public funeral procession.

 
As the procession winds its way from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey and on to Wellington Arch, members of the Royal Household, the Royal Regiments, and Commonwealth forces et al are depicted beneath a stylised image of the monarch's Lying in State.
