Lui (b. Guangzhou, China) studied at the Ontario College of Art before traveling to the UK, and Italy. In Florence, he was drawn to Uccello's dynamic Battle of San Romano (c. 1456). These three paintings contniue to inspire Lui's themes of voyage and dramatic change.
