Description
-An immense Fauve in the 1900s, Derain returned to classicism in the 1920s as with this bouquet standing out from the dark background, “even reminiscent of the works of still lifes of flowers by Henri Fantin-Latour (1836-1904) very appreciated in the US” as mentioned by the Musée de l’Orangerie (Paris, France) in its presentations.
