Warhol drew in and signed (four times, he also signed the Gazelle and the tortoise) this copy of Vanishing Animals for a Weston, Connecticut fifth grade school teacher. This happened during a class field trip at the Museum of Natural History. She writes, ``I stopped and purchased his book and spoke with him for quite a few minutes. I was surprised how friendly he was given his celebrity status. He seemed to be very interested in what subjects I was teaching and that was discussed along with the subjects of his book.''
