A thin black line tracks up each of two narrow shaped white panels to connect with green leaf shapes at the top in this playful pairing by Aron Hill. The artist has rimmed the panels in gold leaf that casts reflective, glowing highlights on the wall around the work. Hill's choice of solid colors, restricted medium and flattened space, reflects the influence of modern painters Jack Bush and William Perehudoff.

Aron Hill currently lives and works in Calgary, Alberta. He graduated from Alberta College of Art and Design in 2000 with a BFA in Interdisciplinary studies. He then completed his MFA at Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. Hill has exhibited across Canada and in Dubai.
