Calgary’s Aron Hill re-imagines landscapes as pop art by playing with vivid colour combinations and clean, simple shapes. This delightful painting features a big white moon surrounded by a rainbow of colours—yellow, orange, pink, purple, red and taupe. Hill is known for their fresh compositions—conceptually inspired by the work of the famed modernist Jack Bush.

They obtained a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Alberta College of Art and Design and their MFA from Goldsmiths College, University of London in 2006. They have exhibited across Canada and in Dubai. Hill’s work is held in private and corporate collections.
