Description
A video and sound installation featuring a projection of the artist’s hands, which are set against either a black or white backdrop, and projected right-side up. Nauman systematically shows all possible combinations of the four fingers and the thumb. There are 31 different combinations for each hand. The movement of Nauman’s hands is described in German by people responding immediately to what they are seeing on the screen.
