Elegantly curved columns of corten steel rise up from the base and appear to float in mid-air in this outdoor sculpture by Claude Millette. The Quebec artist is known for his imaginative abstract work that plays with the viewer’s perception of balance and imbalance. Over time, the steel naturally acquires an attractive rust-coloured patina.

Born in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec Millette studied at the École de sculpture de Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and apprenticed with sculptors Robert Poulin and Jordi Bonet. Millette's works have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions.
