Description
In both the content and process of his art, Twombly was interested in the layering of time and history, and of various meanings and associations. His art situates itself in the context of the history of Western civilization as well as the process-oriented aspects of Abstract Expressionism. Created by Cy Twombly in 1973 for The New York Collection for Stockholm portfolio, this print is an unsigned, unnumbered proof outside of the edition of 300, measuring 11 5/8 x 8 ¾ in (30 x 22.5 cm), unframed, the artwork stamped with the artist’s name and copyright and dated, verso, as well as stamped by Styria Studio. Accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Michael Lisi Contemporary Art.
