A silent face emerges from a tangle of glittering, powder coated steel rods in this outdoor sculpture by Dale Dunning. The face is suspended at the centre of a perfect ring perched on a vertical, both made from powder coated steel. This work is unique, 1/1.

The title of the sculpture, Waves, refers to the infinite possibilities described in quantum physics. The artist offers the idea that the artwork has many possible interpretations from which we select one based on our beliefs and experiences.

Dale dunning holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from Cranbrook Academy of ARt in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. While earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree 91969) from Mt. Allisoni University, NB, he studied under Lawren P. Harris (son of Group of Seven member, Lawren S. Harris) and George Tiessen. Dunning has exhibited across Canada and his work is held in private, corporate and public collections including the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, Robert McLaughlin Gallery, McIntosh Gallery at Western University, Carleton University Art Collection, and the National Library of Canada.
