Description
Turbeville’s reclining nude mimics the slinking panther in Henry Billings' mural, which is installed in the women’s powder room on the third floor of Radio City Music Hall in New York. Billings’ work often combined nature and machinery in surreal forms and he was commissioned by the New York state government to create several mid-20th century works for other public environments.
