The realistic paintings of Dmitry Yuzefovich seem hauntingly familiar. His carefully curated compositions always provide a glimpse of a life—a room well lived in. His palette is warm—grays, browns, pastels and a hit of colour—often red draws the eye.
Yuzefovich’s work focuses on memory—moments from the past that seem to resonate with our own collective memory.

He obtained a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel in 2000 and an MFA in 2005. He moved to Canada with his family in 2015 and lives in Nova Scotia. Yuzefovich has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions. His paintings have been collected in Israel, Canada, the US, England and Europe.
