Description
A desert rock takes the shape of a falcon as it leads the eye into a complex and deftly executed composition. It evokes a dreamlike and haunting feeling of Egyptian ruins. Two lone figures in formal poses rest on a fallen obelisk. A mix of man-made objects and humans are inextricably integrated into the natural barren and dusty landscape. Berman's simplified painting style and a restricted palette convey a sense of surreal fantasy. Berman is an overlooked master of post-surrealism and magic realism.
Housed in a simple thin wood frame
