Description
In 1937, Gruber went to the Île de Ré. The unleashing of the elements gave rise to his Storms series. With these grey clouds stretched and threatening in a navy blue sky, the grey-blue sea loaded with white foam breaking on a shore abandoned by its fishermen, Gruber paints a sublime, almost fantastic Nature.
