When the tour hit a major city we were invariably shuttled from the airport by huge Cadillac limos’. For me these giant, shining black monsters were pure fantasy fulfilment, but the Stones were becoming used to this treatment and took it all in their stride. A few minutes after this photo was taken we were surrounded by hundreds of screaming fans, who climbed all over the vehicle. The roof started to buckle and we all had to support it while the driver escaped into an underground car park!
