Description
Pedretti, born 1924, and Samaras met in 1996 and established an artist friendship for more than 2 decades. Samaras in 1999 launched a fine Restrospective of Pedrettis` work with prospect to the Catalogue Raisonnée project of the Swiss Artist, who was close and in exchange to the family of Alberto Giaciometti.
The artwork seen here as part of Armistice Suisse Art Fund is the visual draft to an outside sculpture project, realized in Corten by a dimension of 440 inches. The location of the project close to Celerina, home of the late Pedretti in the Swiss Alps of the Engadine, will be seen only twice per year caused by the cosmic position of the sun.
