Contact Sheet (AP), Created in the process of printing his famous 'Pillow Fight' Edition
This is one of the most unusual and rare pieces in this auction: the contact sheet, which was part of the process of the original printing of the iconic Beatles Pillow Fight by Harry Benson. The contacts contain original markings, possibly by Benson, indicating the process of selection. The image features nine instances of the shoot, including the less publicized ones. The contact sheet was printed by the same process as the final edition, therefore it's authenticity can be easily established by comparing the edition print with this AP. This lot would be of particular interest to a collector who already owns an edition piece of one of these images.
