Description
- studio frame -
A pronouncedly slender vertical format defines this painting from the late work of Heinrich Siepmann. His formal repertoire draws upon simple, geometric areas, while the colourfulness is characterised by a reduction to the achromatic colours in the spectrum between black and shades of grey of varying brightness. Three tiny areas in light yellow provide colourful accents and compositional tension – an entirely successful interplay of form, area and colour.
