Timeline
1948
Born in Caen, France, March 19
1967
Ivan Messac starts to paint. This same year, he presents his first works infused with Pop Art to the Salon de Nanterre. He uses photography; a social dimension/political marks his work as is evident in 'Le Mont Ventoux' (The death of Tom Simpson) which was presented in the exhibition. He also meets Bernard Rancillac and Peter Klasen with whom he will exhibit in the future.
1969
At only 21 years of age, he participates in the Salon de la Jeune peinture entitled 'Police et Culture'. He meets Arroyo, Aillaud, Schlosser, Spadari, Cueco, Fromanger, M Jolivet, Chambas and Fanti.
