In this painting, Graves has depicted the silhouette of William-Adolphe Bouguereau's 1873 "Nymphs and Satyr" painting, a general seascape, birds, flowers and a tiger, surrounded by an abundance of intricate design and abstract geometrical work. Graves spent 11 months executing this work. After completing this work, it was subsequently exhibited at Agora Gallery, New York, NY during the summer of 2012.

"Nymphs and Satyr" is a painting, oil on canvas, created by artist William-Adolphe Bouguereau in 1873. Nymphs and Satyr was exhibited in Paris at the 1873 Salon, which opened on 5 May, a year before the Impressionists mounted their first exhibition.
