Description
This is the original working plaster that this series of Jim Hart’s bronze poles are casted from. This is a rare, non-editioned work. This sculpture is based off a totem pole that was originally located in the village of Masset. In the early 1900's it was taken down and moved to Beacon Hill Park in Victoria, BC. During a storm in 1948 the pole was damaged, and the remnants were placed into storage. Many years later the MOA commissioned Jim Hart to do a reconstruction of the pole.
