Dutch, 17th. century, oil on board in the circle of Jan van Goyen is a wonderful example of Dutch Golden Age painting. The artist is significantly influenced by van Goyens technique, wich we can certainly recognise through all composition by movement of brushstrokes, colors and shades and birds in the sky. The design of trees and houses follows the concept of the “picturesque”, as Dutch art theorists put it: the houses are crooked, the trees gnarled with the perspective of Dutch peasants every day’s life.
Recently restored by our art conservator, painting is in a excellent condition.
