Rare vintage 1976 offset lithographic poster/invitation published on the occasion of Jasper Johns exhibition at Leo Castelli uptown on East 77th Street from January 24 to February 14, 1976. The work is hand signed in ink and inscribed "For Cordee with Affection". It is held in the original vintage metal 1970s frame, with the label from the framer in Nyack, New York which is where Jasper Johns used to live before he moved to Connecticut. One can only presume that Cordee was a neighbor or staff or assistant from the time when Johns was in Nyack. Authenticity of the work, the signature and inscription guaranteed authentic.
