Description
Joan Barbarà. Barcelona, (1927-2013). Artist and master printmaker, painter and draftsman as well. He created his first studio with Bracons in Paris L'Atelier de Recherches et Techniques Plastic Calcographiques, where he began his friendship with Dalí and Miró and Picasso and later with Hartung, Beuys, Tàpies, Chillida.... At the same time he exhibits his work in galleries and museums. Suite Bodegones, Serie Negre sobre Negre, Mediterrani, prints and paintings. Artist illustrated books: Eïvissa, Empúries, inici d’un retorn, Paris-Olot. Member of the Royal Academy of Sant Jordi and got awards and homages in different countries.
“The communicative force of Joan Barbarà art work, so rich in nuance while at the same time austere, makes us forget that the most wellknown artists have visited his studio where he pruduced engravings for them which are admired all over of the world.”
