Julien Marinetti

Biography
Julien Marinetti is a French artist best known for his Doggy John sculpture series which recalls the work of Jeff Koons, and other Pop-influenced contemporary artists. Marinetti’s practice is often described as three-dimensional painting, in that he uses bronze sculptures of dogs, bears, and penguins as a blank canvas to cover with his psychedelic and graffiti-like paint applications. Born on February 19, 1967 in Paris, France, he went on to study academic figure drawing at the Académie de la Grande Chaumiére. He lives and works in Paris, France.
