Juliette Clovis is a “plastic surgeon”, operating on vinyl and transforming reality deeper than it first seems. She first creates the images on paper then hand cuts and carves the many layers of vinyl before superimposing the layers on Plexiglas to form the powerful feminine images mixing ethnic codes with historical and religious references.
