Description
This impressive silkscreen on felt paper is based on a still from her 16 mm 1998 film, Recollection, Recall was shot during Simpson's artist residence at the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis. The film questioned what is real versus that which is fabricated, and how memory is selective. Other impressions of this desirable Simpson print are in the collection of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Museum of Modern Art.
An impressive print. The photos do not do it justice.
Printer: Jean-Yves Noblet and Luther Davis at Noblet Serigraphie, Inc. New York City, Publisher: Exit Art/The First World
Hand signed, numbered, and dated in ink on the lower right recto (front).
Very good condition however there is a visible spot of foxing or oxidation on the white part of the sheet.
