Site of the historical Armistice declaration of 11 | 11 | 1918 in Compiègne.

The large format photograph on a negative plate was taken on January 20, 2017 at noon, as a ray of sun struck the center of the Armistice memorial at Compiègne, north of Paris.

The image size of the backlight fabric is 89.6 inches, the handmade walnut frame of this work is 116 x 274 inches ( dim. 2,94 x 6,94 m )

This unique historical work was displayed at the Peace Palace in 2018 and for the WWI exhibition at Centre Mondial de la Paix, Verdun, for the Centennial of the Armistice on 11 | 11 | 2018.

The current location of the artwork is Belgium with stop to be confirmed at Menin Gate and Tyne Cot, Ypres, at the Commonwealth Memorials to the WWI missing soldiers, before going by ship from Caen to Portsmouth.
