Description

"In the Swimming Pool" is Maria's largest series to date. Sparked by a hunt for interesting locations, her fascination with the space of public swimming pools contributed to developing her style. Svarbova describes the series as having a sense of ‘artificial detachment’ with some images containing vibrant red and blue pigments, while other’s embrace a yellowish haze, which is further emphasized by the reflections captured on the water’s surface.
