Trained at the prestigious Kunstakademie in Düsseldorf from which she graduated in 2005, Birte Marie Güler quickly opted for the alternative path of street art in order to express herself more freely. By adopting the signature Mariestyle and working in the public space, she voluntarily distances herself from the contemporary art scene. In Düsseldorf, her stencils of sensual young women inspired by fashion photography quickly became very popular.
Then her playground expanded to Hamburg where she lives since 2016, Berlin where she collaborates with an urban art gallery, London, Madrid, Barcelona and other cities.
Mariestyle joins the ArtFontainebleau gallery in June 2022.
