In 'We rise by lifting others' (2020), Marinella Senatore’s preoccupation with forms of protests and emancipation is here addressed by a statement offered as a call to action. Drawing from the luminarie installations of Southern Italy, Senatore’s red and white LED lights are a powerful vernacular reminder of our roles in re-shaping history.

Works from the same series have previously been exhibited at the Queens Museum, New York, NY (2017); High Line, New York, NY (2018); and, most recently, as part of Dior’s Cruise Collection 2021, presented live audience-free in Lecce, Italy (summer 2020).
