‘Eternal of Life’ is a large conceptual acrylic on canvas painting created by Venetian artist Mattia Novello in 2016. Featuring a frontal depiction of a fried egg set against a black background, the painting captures our attention with its intense simplicity. Seen from above, the orange color of the yolk and white of the cooked albumen create a striking contrast with the darkness behind. Almost minimalist, the painting transforms this humble egg into a work of art. Mattia’s intent is to represent the paradox defining an infinity element like the egg which is created through time.
