Improvision, chaos and imagination are key components in Max Hammond’s latest exhibit, Lustrous. “I like exploring the imagination by taking bits and pieces of everything in my daily life and rearranging them” explains Hammond, “I like to let the subconscious run and then think about it”. In this exhibit, Hammond takes us on a journey, where he explores the relationship between himself and the paint. Spontaneity is crucial to Hammond’s painting process. There is no formula, but rather improvision that turns into perfection.
