Max Steven Grossman (Colombian, b.1971) was born in Barranquilla, Colombia. He originally studied engineering, and graduated from the University of Philadelphia in 1994. Soon after, he discovered his passion for photography. In 2000, Max Steven graduated from New York University and the International Center of Photography with an MA. He has combined his twin interests of engineering and the arts to create works that explore themes of reality and imagination.
Grossman's photographs have been exhibited throughout Colombia, including at Beatriz Esguerra Art, the Museum of Modern Art in Cartagena, and the Museum of Modern Art in Barranquilla, as well as internationally in Switzerland, Panama, and Spain. His work has also been shown at numerous art fairs, including ARTBO in Bogota, Art Wynwood in Miami, Art Southampton in Long Island, the Dallas Art Fair in Texas, and ArteBA in Buenos Aires.
