Description
Meret Oppenheim's oeuvre consistently reveals a tactile and sensorial play on surfaces visualizing a membran-like oscillation between the inner and outer spheres. In the work "Tätowiertes Portrait" (Tattooed Portrait) we see the artist in a ritual ornamentation, accentuating her autonomous identity and urge to artistic freedom.
