Description
The Vigangos are wooden effigies made to honor a deceased member of the Gabu or "Society of the Blessed". Their role is not to indicate a burial but to provide a new home for the spiritual power of the deceased member. These stylized human forms would be left to naturally decay and fall over as the spiritual power within the object diminished.
