In this wall sculpture, Herbert references the traditional Japanese garment, the kimono, which, made from delicate and often expensive fabrics was reserved for special occasions and formal events. Folding, an essential element of Herbert’s works in acrylic, is also an essential element of kimono care, necessary to maintain it’s beauty and quality.
