Description
NAN GOLDIN
Lydia Lunch at the Russian baths, New York, 1985
Digital C-print
16 x 26 inches, unframed
Edition of 50
Signed and numbered by the Artist on verso
On the occasion of 2018 Spring Benefit fundraising Gala for the important alternative artist's space in NYC "The Kitchen", Honoring Nan Goldin and Lydia Lunch, Goldin created this very limited-edition C-print. The iconic image depicts a reclining Lydia Lunch at the Russian baths on 10th Street in the East Village in 1985. Originally shot as part of a spread called "Masculine/Feminine" for the preview issue of the Village Voice's legendary but short-lived fashion insert Vue, this image was ultimately not included in the final layout. This limited-edition print is the first time this image was ever made available to the public. Mint condition; unframed.
