Nguyen Bao Toan is a contemporary Vietnamese artist known for his abstract depictions of village scenes. Utilizing dynamic lines, color, and collage, the artist presents scenes which convey his emotional stake in his country. Born in 1950 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Toan has produced works that illustrate both the conflict of the Vietnam War and the harmony of peacetime. He continues to live in Hanoi, Vietnam.
