‘Tribal Indochine Woman 2’ is a large photorealist oil on canvas painting created by Vietnamese artist Nguyen Quang Huy in 2008. Featuring a captivating white, grey and black palette, the painting depicts a close view of a southeastern Asian woman, looking at us directly. Huy has traveled there many times over the years and gotten to know the people and their ways of life. His paintings reflect the misty dreamlike coolness of the mountains and cultural aspects and the beauty of the female inhabitants.
