Description
1st state (of two). One of six proofs reserved for the artist and printer outside the numbered edition of 50.
In the studio Moulot , Picasso discovered in 1953, the zinc plate of a photolithography after a painting by French painter Victor Orsel (1795-1850) from Lyon, a late-classical painter who had worked in Italy. Orginally, the lithograph was created as a poster announcing the exhibiton "Le peinture lyonnaise" in November 1948 in the Orangerie in Paris.
