Timeline

Paul Quant began his career in the lab of Statens Materialverk (FMV) in 1977, learning directly from old school photographers handling glass plates, 70 mm WWII flight films, large scale enlargers and everything else related to the darkroom. Since 1992 he has focused entirely on commercial, portrait and fine art photography, with photo, video and editing studies at Kungliga Konst- akademien och Konstfack, while at the same time developing his work with the Sinar large format polaroid. Searching for just the right image, mood and composition shows his genuine love and respect for the craft itself. Mistakes and lessons learned during these elaborate processes are often inspirational in his various creative work.
