Description
One of the most desirable Peter Blake prints: Pencil signed and numbered from the edition of 150. It is based on the artist's iconic 'Portrait of Queen Elizabeth II' from 2002. The present work was created in 2016, on the occasion of the Queen's 90th birthday. It is in fine condition;
RIP Her Majesty! Makes a wonderful and memorable gift.
Peter Blake is regarded as the godfather of the British Pop Art Movement. The printed text, which is part of the artwork itself, reads as follows:
"Happy Birthday on her 90th Birthday, June 2016. To Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II. Art Car Boot Fair, Sunday, June 12th 2016."
Pencil signed and numbered from the edition of 150 recto. Unframed.
