Note:
Elio Palmisano’s Atelier is one of the few Italian enterprises which created a great number of tapestries and carpets during the second half of the 20th century, in synergy with contemporary artists. From 1968 to around 2005 Palmisano created a collection of 320 tapestries and carpets, designed by renowned artists and designers, from Giacomo Balla to Ettore Sottsass. By means of the ancient craftmanship technique Palmisano succeeded in weaving the scenario of the Italian Art in the 20th century.
