Description
This work is a sketch for Ralston Crawford’s Overseas Highway. The work displays the artist's precisionist style in the way the composition is laid out, however the nature of this being a sketch in pencil and ink also allows viewers a glimpse into the artist’s working process. Instead of a fully-realized paining, we have a more ghostly landscape that pulls you in toward its small vanishing point.
