Description
Cartoonist Richard Taylor was trained in academic art. He frequently comments on abstract art which was the new and radical thing at the time. "Curtis sees so much more in these things than I do, he says this one is terribly obscene. The publication is unknown. Perhaps it was for the New Yorker or Esquire. 13x8 3/4 inches, on 15x10-inch board. Signed "R. Taylor" in the lower-left image and captioned in ink in lower margin. The work is unframed
