Description
"Harry has no interest in mundane pleasures." Enter the mind of a mid-century American/ Canadian Artist. The theme of Artist and Model has been used for centuries but Richard Taylor ( R. Taylor ) clearly has his own humorous style. The Taylor girl is easily recognizable with oversized heavy-lidded oval eyes and curvaceous body shapes. Taylor is in the Charles Addams school of artists/ cartoonists. What I admire most about his work is his painting style, His complex figural studies are grounded in deep academic training. This work is an interior image with several points of perspective. Work is unframed but mounted on an archival board. Appeared most likely in Playboy or Esquire.
Condition: Good Some light foxing and slight one inch crease - top center . A 1 half-inch tear lower center on extreme edge, Only visible on close inspections.
