Description
I am my mothers daughter" is a video installation that documents the mental emancipation process of a young woman who finds herself trapped in a world full of perceptible existential problems - characterized by capitalism, war, sexism and the climate crisis. The powerlessness and discomfort of the young woman is revealed through a scarlet color scheme that unites the figures of mother and daughter. The daughter inevitably becomes the guardian of the ideas of previous generations of mothers and thus refers to the symbol of the portrait of Madonna - but as a futuristic image. In her red robe, the "eternal mother" stands for solidarity, care, fertility and vitality, but also for the will and courage to resist in the face of impending tragedy.
